Nicholas Loulloudes research and entrepreneurial activities evolve around the areas of Intelligent Transport and Cloud Computing. Specifically, his expertise focuses in the domains of: Vehicular Networks (Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communications), Smart Cities, Urban Mobility Tracking, Complex Networks, Large-Scale Distributed Systems (Cloud, IoT) and Compute Resource Virtualization.

Nicholas, has a long involvement in the Eclipse open-source ecosystem as a Committer, and currently leads the Cloud Application Management Framework (CAMF). Nicholas has been a mentor to a variety of postgraduate and undergraduate theses, as well as, international competitions such as the Google Summer of Code (GSoC ns3 2012 & 2013). His research has been funded by acknowledged international bodies (EU FP6 - FP7, Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation) as well as world renowned organizations (Amazon).

He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus (2015), an M.Sc. in Communications Networks and Software from the University of Surrey (2006) and a BSc in Computer Science from Intercollege (Cum Laude, 2005). He has serverd as a researcher or visiting professor at the University of Cyprus and University of Nicosia. His research has been published in leading scientific conferences and journals. Recently, his ideas have been presented in Innovation and Entrepreneurship competitions (ClimateLaunchpad, Digital Champion).
